Cedar Exchange is a four-piece band from Placerville, California, drawing from the deep well of American music — blues, jazz, rock, and the wide-open spaces of the West. Shaped by the influence of The Doors, classic blues, and the singer-songwriter tradition, the band brings a sound that is both familiar and hard to pin down.
Half originals, half covers, weaving between gritty blues workouts, jazz-inflected grooves, and songs with something to say. Nick Helldorfer leads on vocals, lead guitar, and trumpet — pulling out the horn mid-set for extended improvisational jams that are a Cedar Exchange signature. Cedar Exchange are a young band with old souls, playing music that feels lived-in and honest.
